Every year, almost two million children in India do not live to the age of five. The main culprits are poor hygiene and sanitation. We’re on a mission to safeguard the future of our country’s children by safeguarding their health first. By creating simple awareness and encouraging good health and hygiene habits amongst children across the nation, we’re setting into motion a cycle of change that can positively impact us for years to come.
The children will remember the lesson because it was taught in a very practical manner, through games and interaction. The children truly enjoyed the ball game. Not only did you impart knowledge in an impactful way, but you also shared the product with them so that they can try it out and see the results for themselves.Ms. Asha (Teacher), Lal Bahadur Shastri School (Manor)
Our school organizes a similar health and hygiene program every year but this year, the program organized by the VVF Group and Habitat was extremely effective. All the knowledge about the importance of hand-washing and general hygiene was given in a very practical way through games and activities. The children were given products that they can use for washing their hands, which is truly beneficial for them as these children come from Adivasi homes and do not always have access to such products. Even the simple things that the team brought like the Frooti and biscuits really made them happy. The easy-to-understand posters and the video too has helped them retain the lessons taught.Principal, Primary Section, Lal Bahadur Shastri School (Manor)
We’re always thinking about how we can make the Children for Change campaign even bigger and better to help reach out to more children. If you have any thoughts, we’d love to hear them! Feel free to write to us with feedback, thoughts, ideas, questions or suggestions.
